DMA Updates Direct Marketing Code of Practice

The Direct Marketing Association has updated its direct marketing code of practice.  “This new edition of the Code has been updated to include all recent changes to relevant legislation, including data protection, consumer credit, prize draws, telemarketing, and consumer protection” says DMA Chairman, David Metcalf in the Code’s Foreword.

The new Code of Practice is available at and whilst it has no legal status, it represents best practice and is a vital source of information and guidance for marketers in the UK.  One of the conditions of membership of the DMA is that Member organisation must abide by the Code of Practice rules.
