Philip Brining - Managing Director, Absolute Data

Phil was educated at Leeds Grammar School. He went on to gain a BSc with commendation in Institutional Management and an MBA at Leeds Business School. Phil's commercial experience is extensive and includes operational and project management.

Passing through the construction, manufacturing and hotel industries, before finding his true calling in the world of sport and sales, Phil spent over five years as Head of Commercial at Leeds United Football Club during the most successful commercial period in the clubs' history overseeing a £45million revenue budget. As a result, In February 2002 he was 'promoted' to the club's management board.

During his time at Leeds, Phil identified a gap in the market, and decided to fulfil an ambition to start his own business - Absolute Data which started trading in December 2005 providing data consultancy services to organisations such as Everton FC, Hull City AFC, International Service, Viagogo, Destiny Racing, and Disq. Phil was responsible for creating a CRM vision and strategy for Everton and implementing new systems and processes to help the business become more customer relationship focused. Phil's interests include football, skiing, sailing and spending time with his family. Phil is also a director of sister company Intelligent Sales.

Jason Ellis - Senior Consultant, Absolute Data

Jason has 33 years experience in the IT industry - which makes him an invaluable member of the Absolute Data team!

Starting out as a Programmer, designing and programming commercial systems, Jason held positions with organisations large and small, including Geest, Courtaulds and Williams Holdings, before landing a top role as IT Director of DePuy International Plc in 1994. In 1997, Jason ticked a huge box off his 'to do' list and started his own IT consulting business.

Having assisted many organisations with data migrations and data rationalisation projects, Jason now calls upon his vast experience of obtaining business benefit from data assets to help Absolute Data put theory into practice. Outside work, Jason loves antique glass, music and sound engineering.

Simon Webster - Director, Absolute Data

Educated at Heckmondwike Grammar School, Simon's first foray into business was as co-founder of the 'infamous' Heywire Menswear business at the not-so-ripe old age of 19. Simon's passion for people and ability to break sales and marketing barriers makes him a real asset to any team - and we're proud to say, a key player in ours!

With an impressive track record in the commercial arena, spanning fifteen years across media, advertising, agency and sports, Simon's most recent roles include Sports Director of leading sports and marketing company Platinum One, Group Sales Directorship of an AIM listed marketing and events company and over five years as Head of Commercial with Leeds United Football Club.

Simon enjoys travel, football, attending gigs, drumming, scuba diving (warm water only!) and attempting to play golf. A keen Leeds United fan, Simon's claim to fame is that he once managed and captained a Leeds United football team, and that they actually won a few matches!

Lizzie Partridge - P.A to Simon Webster and Philip Brining

Lizzie, holds a 2:1 honours degree in Design and Business Management and has over four years experience in Personal Assistance. Lizzie's job is to keep Simon and Phil in line; organising their time efficiently and prioritising their workloads - allowing them to concentrate on growing their business and delivering for our clients. Lizzie is currently in training for various long distance runs, including the Edinburgh marathon, and her other interests include playing for the local hockey team and attending gigs.

Will Oliver - Sales and Marketing Executive

Will was educated at Harrogate Grammar School and holds a B.A (Hons) in English and Journalism at Northumbria University. Will's commercial experience is broad with over 3 years working in sales and marketing, before joining the team as an intern in April 2011.

Since joining Absolute Data, Will has specifically focused on marketing our new service DataWise, which delivers the ability for businesses to outsource their Data Protection and privacy requirements for a small monthly fee. In addition Will provides a wide range of data services such as data cleansing, duping, research, analysis and reporting.

Will also works for our sister company Intelligent Sales.

A keen footballer, Will plays regularly on the weekend for two local teams; he also enjoys attending gigs and festivals, tennis, eating lots and travelling (but not to the kitchen).

Joe Colleran - Data Protection Consultant

Joe has extensive experience of working in the public sector at local, regional and national level across a range of service areas and agencies and has demonstrated excellence and success in all aspects of stakeholder engagement.

Over the last ten years he has worked on the successful delivery of a number of complex business change projects within the public sector and successfully managed multi-agency, cross-boundary, operations.

Joe is a subject matter expert on information governance/information sharing matters and has devised, designed and implemented standards and frameworks in this field across a range of organisations and geographical boundaries; his 'Information Sharing Toolkit' has been given a 'Plain English Kitemark' and was cited in the EURIM Position Paper on 'Information Sharing Protocols' (Feb 2008) as an exemplar model of good practice. Joe has significant experience of policy and procedural development, design and implementation and has directly contributed to central government activity in this area, e.g. Cross-Government Guidance on Information Sharing, Integrated Working Framework, various Statutory Guidance and related Operational Best Practice Processes, etc. He is an experienced trainer and has developed and delivered training across a range of topics. He has designed, organised and delivered national, regional and local conferences and workshops with a focus on integrated working and information governance/sharing and has spoken/facilitated at conferences/workshops run by others.

His interests include walking, history, politics, ballroom dancing and his family.
